Forgive me if this subject has been covered in another forum or another time. My real engineering skills are limited to some kit bashing, using larger engine the fra bme and gear will withstand and flying on the prop. I have had a lot of fun flying underpowered planes and using the wing lift to fly. I am trying to find a base for a older 70cc single piston. I flys a 35 lb Ziroli mustang on the wing. I have seen planes not too much larger using 400 cc. My experience tells me that a strong box interior and 100" should fly nice if I build light but strong. Used to be a .60 cc plane flew a 55" to 60" plane. I built a 55" aerobatic biplane with 1.40 cc engine that would fly both on the wing and on the prop. Heck I used to hover a Great Planes Ugly Stick with an O.S. .46 cc. Guess I'm looking for a thumbnail rule that covers 5 years of aeronautics. Not asking for much. I have details of ribs and wing span but I didn't want to put any more people asleep than necessary. Thanks.
