Default hostetler bucker jungmeister

planning this as a winter project. I need some input on engines. who has flown one? I see so many different engine sizes listed. I am thinking of a da 85 with a pitts muffler.too much? or just right for all out aerobatics? the plans show the old quadra.

I just picked up an all wood kit from National Balsa for the Hostetler Jungmeister. I haven't got my plans yet, but I was thinking that a G-62 would be enough for all out aerobatics........a DA 85 would make it a rocket ship for sure.

I hope you follow up on this post with a build thread, I would be signed on in a heart beat!

Cheers,
Art

My bud built one of these planes. It builds HEAVY. He was using a Saito 325 which was under powered but it flew.
You might look at the plans and re-engineer the fuse. If I recall its a thick slab sided affair. Heavy and unnecessary.

in an e mail, wendel said the 85 would be fine. what I want is a da 85 powered bipe, also, fully aerobatic. it's down to 3. this, the skybolt also by wendel, and the old ohio rc 77" ultimate.. any one will be from plans, altho I will get a laser cut kit for the wood.
