Default 1/5th scale Eecoupe Plans??

Hi all:
Does anyone out there know of plans for an Ercoupe that would be flyable with an OS.91FS? Most likely 1/5th scale the Ziroli 1/4 size seems a bit big. Or has one of you used that OS.91 on one of them?[:@]
Thanks
Frank

Hey Frank:
I'm in the process of constructing Jim Messer's 3-93 1/5th scale Ercoupe. My plans are in use at the moment. It calls for a gas 23 size engine, but I'm putting a Surpass .91 four stroke in her - there's just not enough room in it for a large engine. She's coming together nicely, with help from Mr. Messer himself. So, with regard for your need for plans, would you like me to copy them for U at my local bluepring shop? Let me know. My zipcode is 11741, Holbrook, NY- I'm sure I can get them to you without any difficulty. Enclosed are some photos, and elsewhere, the construction is under phase in another forum w/ fuse photos as well.
Best,
Jim Soque

I have anSupertiger 91 in this Ziroli Aircoupe and it is more than enough power to fly it at a scale speed.[img][/img][im

The 1/5 scale Ercoupe that I designed has been flown on all kinds of engines. Your OS91FS will do just fine in this plane. We built 13 of these little rascals in our club and they are asbsolute performers in the air. A wide variety of engines were used, and they all flew the airplane well. Just be sure to balance the airplane exactly 3 1/4 in. back from the leading edge of the wing and you will be O.K. Here are some photos:

1 - Jim Messer and prototype
2. - Irv Barber - fully detailed cockpit, rivets, etc.
3. - Jim Welborn
4. - Jim Kileen

Jim: an impressive gaggle of Ercoupes. Any images of the group flying in formation?
Does the 1/5 Ercoupe design use the diagonal rib pattern?

Sorry, No photos in formation. Yes - the wing ribs are at a diagonal pattern. I have sold both of my 1/5 and 1/4 scale Ercoupes (4 total) - so all I have left is the 1/3 scale with a G62.

Hi Ed:

I thought that this was a dead thread. Surprised to see it resurface. Sorry - my plan does not show any way to make a sliding window, but I know it can be done, as one of our members did it. He used tiny brass rails in some fashion. Don't know the details.

Balance the plane 4 1/8 inches back from the leading edge. Plane was originally designed for the Q35, so any 35-42 cc engine should fly it nicely.
