RE: crop duster r/c
The tubing size is 1/4 OD from Tower Hobbies. I bought a brake line bender from the parts store to bend the tubing, which was very soft, and easy to bend. The valves are just small blocks of hard wood drilled for the tubing. The conectors are just fuel tubing, painted black. The tubing is aluminum. The pump is hand made from wood, and the propeller is two wood props cut down to the proper size. The small shaft rides on ball bearings. The spider that holds the center section of the boom is just made out of steel welding wire sordered together. The whole setup is non working, except the propeller. This is how the setup is made on the real AirTractor. With a little more work, it could be made to acturaly work, just like the real plane. Glad you liked the detail. I built this for a Cropduster pilot. The plane can fly, and it is set up to fly, but is on perment display. This was a Duane Habbit kit. My Airtractor is much bigger that I fly, and not nearly so detailed.

Hi guys just thought I would share some pics of my recently test flown 46% Pawnee from Bill Hemple Models. The model is 46% scale with a span of 198" and a flying weight of 36.5kg. I'll be doing a scale colour scheeme shortly and will be adding full lighting and a bigger motor soon, at present she flies very scale like with a DLE 222 but will be getting a 340cc motor for towing duties.

I've decided to upgrade the motor in my 46% Pawnee from the dle222 to a zdz 360. The amount of drag from this airframe is unbelievable!

Both you two guys have great looking AG planes. Good going. Great work. Just built this little 53" Pawnee, and test flew it this morning. Flew great. It is interly scratch built out of Dollar Tree foam. You can see my big AirTractor standing on its nose in the background.

Guys, have a look at this forum. It is the build of the AMR-RC Airtractor AT402 with a wren gas turbine. See the videos of the plane on its first flight.

I thought you guys might like to see a few pics of a full scale Air Tractor in action. He was spraying a bean field a couple miles from my house last week. I took the grandson down to watch and snapped a few pics. Once we could start smelling the insecticide it was time to leave.
Later!!

My Feedback: (35)
Well guys, I lost my Airtractor today. I let her get to slow as I turned final and she snapped on me at about 25 feet. I thought the damage was gonna be much worse but Duane designed these plane like tanks. I don't think its worth rebuilding to fly again because I think I will add too much weight reinforcing the nose, but I cant pull myself to just throw it away. so I am gonna repair it and give the airframe to the cropdusting company that let me photograph their plane for documentation. It will live on hanging from the roof of their hangar. At least she got to fly at Topgun. Now I have to decide if I am gonna built the agcat next or get another airtractor.

Sorry for your loss brother. We ALL have been their, remimber I lost mine about two years ago. I just built a bigger one. Now you get Duane to build you that Agcat, if he is still building planes.
Yep those turns will kill you in this plane, you have too have that airspeed.
The ole saying " You gona fly them you will crash them"
Let us know what you are going to build next.
Take care

Hi Randy the covering is the ooriginal white oracover. Now the paint..... A mixture of tamiya and pactra polycarbonate Rc car paint (tamiya on the wing tips and pactra on the fuse) used as a primer and then topcoated with automotive acrylic mixed with 5% flex add to prevent spiderweb bing and cracking.
