RE: crop duster r/c
I am considering building a scale set of landing gear for the Pawnee, namely for the Hanger 9 80" model as they won't take any abuse and possibly for 1/4 scale and larger. Need to locate 2 Piper technical drawings - #64013 -Landing Gear Installation and #64014 -Landing Gear Vee Assembly , Does anyone know if Piper still has drawings or is there an aftermarket source ?? I own a Welding and Machine shop so resources aren't going to be a problem. Will be using Tig welded chrome moly . If this works out will consider putting these out on the market if I can keep the price within reason but I am well aware the first set cost mucho dollars. Nothing ventured , nothing gained !!! Any help appreciatted .

Hi Jeff248,
I am down here in Cleveland, Ohio and have a Pawnee 40. I am also designing a 1/4 scale version from measurements I took of a couple of full-size versions nearby.
I do not have the Piper drawings, but will try to insert a gif file of a CAD drawing I made. We probably need to correspond off-line to exchange CAD files.
I too would like to modify the Pawnee 40 gear to have a little give. Currently, I brazed a 5/32 doubler to the forward cross member. I brazed only the outer ends (about 1/4"). Then for the cross brace, I attached it with slings made from brass sheet and used fuel tubing to provide a little give. It is very strong and doesn't bend, even with the hardest landing, but it still doesn't have a lot of give. I am thinking of increasing the amount of rubber, but doing that will put a lot of stress on the 5/32 main forward rod.
Any other ideas?
John

Hey guys,
Just click on the attachment and it should show up. Check out what Mr. Duane Habits built right under our noses!!! I didn't even know about it. Boy~~~~he sure can keep a secret. He also told me that if anybody wanted one he would work with you on it. I really don't know much more about it other than it's a "Weatherly 620B. I think it has a 72" wingspan and probably doesn't weigh no more than 12 pounds at it's heaviest. Pretty cool looking I thought. 2nd Deal. It seems I've misplaced my Agcat list. I'm sure I'll find it in one of my files on the computer, but if you are on the list or by that fact not on the list and you are ready to purchase the D.H. Agcat the door is wide open to own one of these very rare airplanes. Here's a shot of her at the B-17 fly-in at Bomber Field back in September 2009. Man, she got plenty of attention. There were at least 3 full scale Agcat pilots out there that day and really enjoyed her and spent literally hours going over the details of how it came about and the paint job etc.... Enjoy.

Hello all,
here are some pictures of the building of the AMR AT401 airtractor prototype. So far, i have completed both wing structure, ailerons and flaps are partially sheeted, Same thing for the stab and elevator (elevator are completely sheeted). I am finishing the rudder and rudder fin but i dont have pictures of the assembly yet. Next will be the fuselage which is the big job to build. The wing assembly was starigth forward and they are very rigid without the 3/32 sheeting. this is a big 12 foot plane so wing have to be strong,

Why having US distributor when we are just beside. US distributor are unfortunately not interested at selling kits but only ARF.
This help us at keeping our cost and prices as low as possible.
It is normal to have some in Europe, Australia and S Africa since shipping cost is very high overseas.

The AT-401B is looking great! Can't wait to see the finished product and maiden. Hope everything works out well! Any time frame yet on when the plans/kit will be released?
