Default Anyone have a need for full scale photo's?

I'm thinking about offering my services to individuals who are seeking specific aircraft details (not paint schemes). I have a lot of aircraft displays where I live that have warbirds (mostly U.S.) from WW2 to present on display that I can get up close and personal with. I have a 4MP digital camera that can take nice up close photo's of specific area's of an aircraft, then they can be emailed to the requester. I work for tips, if I can get you some helpful documentation, throw a couple bucks or so in my PayPal account for my efforts, let your conscience be your guide. I can get some civil aircraft and full scale weapons also, let me know what your looking for . Over time, my selection will grow, What do you all think? Here's a list of what is near me.

A-10/ A-26 Invader/ A-37 Dragonfly
AC-47/ AC-119 / Helio U-10D
AC-130/ B-17/ AD-1 Skyraider
B-25/ B-47 / OV-10
B-52/ B-57 / C-46 Commando
C-123/ C-131/ Piper Pawnee
F-4D/ F-15 / O-1A Bird dog
F-80/ F-84 / UH-1
F-85/ F-100 / Moony
F-101/ F-104 / Cessna 172
F-105/ F-111 / Cessna 182
Mig-21/ O-2A/ KB-50
P-47/ P-51D/
RF-4/ SR-71/
T-33/

Default Speedster 6000M

I found a site that has five of them listed, the sixth was destroyed, what sort of documentation are looking for? They are kind of far from where I live, but it lists the owners, there is a possibility to get digital photo's if the owner's are helpful.

Hi, I spoke to that fella via E-mail and his ship is in several peices in storage. Unfortunately he gave up all his photo negatives on loan to some "journalist" and never saw them again ;needless to say he's a little bitter. Thnx for the reply, Widgeon.

I also visited the Rearwin site and got some addresses bu no one replied and one of the cards came back with a incorrect PO Bx . The one listed by Bob Banka would be okay ecept that his cockpit pics are dim. Bummer. I'm just kind of weary of the red and white color scheme and thought I'd try something different. Oh well. Default rearwin 6000M

Hi Omawho, My Rearwin is the old bridi kit. I exchanged the longerons on the corners for spruce ones since my first one was powered with a Q-35. I literally flew the wings of it when the aluminum strut attachments on the fuse fatigued and broke. I advise using steel instead. The new one is all built and I'm using a O.S. 120 on glow for power to acheive more scale like flite. Servos are large for puul pull rudder and a servo in each wing for ailerons, about 80 0z. each. A beautiful plane. Should come in about 13 lb.s. Search for Rearwin on the internet and you'll get the Rearwin museum run by the family. Good luck, if you come into any good pics let me know. Default Rearwin 6000M

Widgeon,

Always appreciate input from others. Part of the hobby. I agree with the aluminum strut links. I didn't like the looks of them from the get-go. Glad you affirmed my thoughts. I have decided to use nicol/steel links instead. I have mine set up to install a Fuji 32A. That's right at the top side of the power scale according to Mr. Bridi. I spoke with him sometime back and he gave me a few pointers on what to do to beef up the airplane for that power plant. Of course, just because it's there doesn't mean I have to use it either. Half throttle works good. (Yeah, Right!!!) Any pics I get, you will get. Thanks for taking the time to share....

Default Speedster

Hey guys,

how many of these Speedsters were built? I've combed just about every air museum listed on the internet and haven't come up with much (probably no more than you all have). It almost looks like the full scale plane didn't have too many color options.

Bash, There wre only a few of these ships surviving today and the color options on them are sparse as far as color goes. The guy in PA whose ships in storage with another for parts is for sale for 70 K. He also has a copyright for section drawing to help for documentation. I don't think it's enuff for a contest. I've decided to use the familiar red with white stripes .that's shown on the Bridi box. Widgeon AMA8093,KC2JFW

Well it's the story of my life I guess. Who'd of thought that a Golden age ship like that would'nt have more data available. I'm going to log onto the Rearwin museum site to see if I can find some literature at least. I see U on this site often. I'll let U know if there's any progress.. Widgeon AMA8093 ,KC2JFW

Default Speedster 6000M

Well, as far as I can find there were only nine possibly eleven produced. The colors were dark red with deep blue numbers or deep blue with dark red numbers. I am doing the red myself. The stripe is actually a silver from what I have been told. Kind of an aluminum color. There are so many dirrerent descriptions that it's hard to know what color the stripe actually was. Widgeon, if you find that it really was white, please let me know. I am covering mine in fabric and won't be ready to paint for at least 30 days.

Thanks, omawho......

Default 6000M

I found a nice color photo of a 6000M on display at a fly-in, it's yellow with some black trim, email me if you don't have this one.
It's too big to post.
