Default US Navy WWII aircraft

I am about to paint an F6F Hellcat that is overall Glossy Sea Blue. I am not sure which white was used for the star/bar and the squadron markings. Was it flat, semi-gloss or gloss ? Was it Insigna White ( FS 37875, FS 27875 or FS 17875 ) or FS 37880, FS27880 or FS17880 ?

I believe it was semi-gloss insignia white, FS 27875. You are going to fuel proof the entire plane with a coat of gloss clear anyway, so the national insignias will be glossy, which is OK.
