Hey, Fred and Larry.
I spoke with Frank Tiano at the Bardstown Jet meet yesterday, and he told me you can get the FS paint chips from Randolf aircraft paint company. I sent them an email yesterday, hopefully will have a reply tomorrow. Frank says that they have the chips for civilian aircraft, and for military colorsyou can get the chips from the International Plastic Models Society ( IMPS). We'll see what happens.

RE: Morrisey Bravo
Hello; I have quite a few planes hanging in the garage, I can't resist a bargain, I guess. This Bravo was built by an older gent, who prefers building to flying. I coaxed it out of him because I bought his third scale sopwith pup, and he saw me flying it at a scale show about 6 years ago, and liked the way I flew it. He had built it 12 years earlier and had never flown it himself. He wasn't concerned with c of g, just appearances. He covered it with silk and dope, all panel lines and all rivets. He put in all the scale lights, and even put some lights in the dashboard. He told me that it took him 4 months to complete it when I bought it from him. He was 88 years old at the time.
I mentioned the Bravo to Charlie yesterday, he said that it'll fly again, he wants to finish repairing his Byron Mustang first.

Thats the ticket, the fan deck is the best choice because you can put that up to a surface directly and compare colors. You can also buy individual chips...somewhere.
good luck,

here is a link to a site that also sells the individual color chips. This is the government site, read the notes carefully about ordering!

RE: Morrisey Bravo
My plans are buried, so I can't easily locate them. I believe that my Bravo balances on the spar. I'm using a G38, and it took no lead to balance it. All servos are located in the radio compartment.
Control throws are another guess. My elavator looks like it has 1 inch, but it's not overly sensitive. Ailerons are around 3/4 inch. I put in all the rudder that I could get.
I wish that I could give you more accurate info, but my Bravo doen't have an RX in it at the moment. There is no way for me to check it out.
The model is a great flyer. It has good low speed characteristics. I fly mine at 1/2 throttle, or less, most of the time. It is a crowd pleaser, that looks great on the ground and in the air.
I hope that all of you are enjoying this project as much as I did mine. I've been following this thread from the beginning, but until now, I didn't have anything to contribute.
Hope this info is of some use.

Thanks Tom,
I appreciate your feed-back. I am still gathering information on the plane, and am trying to finish some other prodject first before brushing off the dust on that one. Thanks again.

RE: Morrisey Bravo
According to the instruction booklet for the Bravo, the recommended balance point is 5-1/4" from the leading edge at the tip with empty fuel tank.
The throws are:
Aileron 1-1/8" down, 1-1/4" up
Elevator 1-3/8" down. 1-1/2" up
Rudder 1-1/4" each way from neutral

RE: Morrisey Bravo
I don't have pics for you, but do have a request of you. I have a crashed plane that was given to me and I am looking for plans so that I can rebuild this 1/4 scale model.
I like to have a set of plans for each plane that I own. Is it possible to get a copy of your plans if you own a set? I would be happy to pay for copies and postage.....Thanks!
