pd1, I prefer the 1:1 scale! Is that you in the cockpit?

I actually sat on the floor, I didn't fit with the seat in.
Fun plane, very aerobatic and almost 240 mph on only a 200 cubic inch engine.

Man there's some amazing work on here. My small contribution is an Ikon N'Wst kit of the Waco UPF-7 1/5 scale. I built 2 at once, one for a client and 1 for me. My first serious attempt at some scale work. This one may never fly and as such just has a dummy engine and prop. Should take about a 26cc gasser. Mine is still in primer at the moment. Sig Koverall with water based poly, latex paint and Nelson's clear as a top coat.

What are the recesses on the wing? What is their function? Nice plane....something different. How about sending a picture when it is completed.........Ron

RE: Let's show our Scale Planes off
Hi Ron, They are leading edge slats, that I have just not mounted yet, I took these pics this past weekend, when someone saw this plane hanging in my shop, on a for sale ad I have here in RCU. Said he wanted the plane and never heard from him again. Oh well, it gave me a reason to get the plane down and put it together. Might be a good time to get some work done on it. Capt. Winters

This is my sport cub loosely modeld after the cub crafters sport cub that is being produced up North in Washington State I believe.
My kit was the Sig 1/5 scale Cub and I made my own cowl.
The first two pictures are my cub, and the second two pictures are the full size cub

How big is it? Kit or scratch, if kit, who makes it...It is sure a pretty plane. What size engine? Prop size....Hey, I really like this one. I Never had the guts to build a bipe.

RE: Let's show our Scale Planes off
It was built from a Kit. Midwest sold it. I run an OS 90 Surpass with a 14x8 ASP prop. I don't think the kit is still produced.
It flies scale meaning not over powered at all.
I have three other bipes, the Stearman is the largest with a 63" wingspan.

The plane that AirServices posted looks exactly like plane that I thought was Polish.
Previously posted........yea, that's the plane I want to build.
Any Idea of its' name or where who builds it...If I could get a 3 view or plans I surely would build it.

What plans were used for that DrI? I seem to vaguely recall seeing a set of plans that used that rubber band style of wing attachment. I'm thinking British from the mid 1970's??? [sm=50_50.gif]

Fok Tripe plans by Peterson. 1st name escapes me. Great flier w Supre Tigre 61. Was sold to a friend. (don't know why the pic uploaded in such large format for the other pics had same pixel dimensions) The autogyro sport scale version of FA-61 helicopter is Skip Mast (?) plans built. The Cassutt, Jackrabbit, Sump'N Else and ARUP are my plans.
