Flaperons on the Cub? Good idea or bad? I.ve never done flaperons before so I really don't know if they would work good with this plane

Last thing the H-9 Cub needs is flaps. It will fly at a walking pace anyway. You can try it if you want, but I don't see an advantage in a plane that will fly so slow without them.

very bad idea... the outboard ailerons when used as flaps will increase the angle of attack of the wing tips and cause them to stall before the roots...Great for snaprolls, spins and tip stalls, but that is probably not what you want...

If you want flaps, cut them out of the wing roots and call it a super cub, but they are not necessary.....

BALSAUSA.COM sells a 1/4 and a 1/3 scale kits of the cub.
