ESM civilian scale releases.
The next civilian scale releases from ESM, available through YT International in the UK and KMP on your side will be a large scale Robin and a very pretty Cessna 185, this one is available as a float plane too. Both will be fully composite, detailed and with scale hinging etc. Span will be 2m+ but full specs will follow.
The colour schemes are still at the stage where the factory could be influenced so if you have any pics or ideas, shoot 'em in here.
This Cessna scheme is only the prototype scheme, I like it but it may change.
Either look superb candidates for glider tug duties, though the wheeled option for the Cessna would be advisable for this option, unless there are any float equipped gliders out there!!

RE: ESM civilian scale releases.
Right then, some specs for anyone interested.
The Robin has a span of 2.210m and a length of 1.645m, fully composite for around 50cc.
The Cessna 185 is 2.2 span and has a length of 1.455m, again fully composite for 120 to 180 four strokers.

Alan,
I saw ESM on their web page but it didn't inspire much hope from the one basic model listed. Might give them a call and see what others they bring in.
Thanks,
Cam

RE: ESM civilian scale releases.
hey there guys I have the ESM cessna 185 fitted with a DL 50 that I bought from the hobby man in Melbourne. Man what an awsome package, I fitted the motor with a pitts slimline muffler to keep everything neat and tidy requiring a muffler box to be cut out of the firewall and boxed in with 3mm ply. For ground clearance I am using a mezjlik 18x10 3 blade carbon prop. How does she go you ask lets just say it tows 4 meter gliders @ 65 degrees and 5 meter ones @ 45 degrees
