I love Jugs too! Great series of photos. Round engines forever!

Another from HDP 2012. It could almost be from an evening display at Old Warden.

Try to post pic by J. Richow of the maiden of my TF 85" G-62 powered P-47. This is the first landing. Yes Prop is stopped, Gear up. The Right Wheel fell off when the gear was deployed so retracted it and belied her in.

P.47 shot from back trailing smoke. Doesn't get much better.
No sooner do you say it... somebody proves you wrong!
    strega/7s 3rd picture of a P47, close up underside...
    Mind bending!
Somebody retouch an element of pilot in there... and it's a done deal.

Center pic of Super Saber F-100. Never saw one that didn't have a belly full of grease, oil and grime before. ...... Anyway how does one add a still picture to a post so it can be enlarged for viewing? It wanted a URL? When I pasted a pic it was not to be expanded ... Why?

I am always amazed at your photos.
I love taking photos too, but almost as good as yours.[]
I did not want to bother you on your assignment.
My equipment is not up to yours, but I am always hoping, just like some of these planes that was at IWC.

    David,

glad you like. Also glad you like the flash look. I really like using a flash on a super wide angle cause you can get so much light on the subject even in bright daylight. It's fun to experiment with.

    Hi Roger,

You should have come over and we could have talked. Thanks for the compliment on the pictures, much appreciated. I also love talking about the equipment and techniques with fellow photographers, it's fun! Next time, don't hesitate to strike up a conversation. This was my first time covering a really serious scale airplane event and it was so much fun. I'm very excited right now after seeing the aircraft that flew that day. Luckily the weather was fantastic in the AM on Friday with good lighting. I look forward to the next opportunity to see these amazing planes again. It was really something to see.

As far as software. Right now I'm using the basic Adobe Photoshop Elements program. It really has everything I need to do the editing. I have lightroom, Photoshop CS5, and so forth, but I started with Elements a long time ago and I just seem to gravitate back to it.
