The red and white Taylorcraft appears to be full scale. If not, it's a perfect rendtion; I see no "tells" on it at all.

That is a Aeronca Champion. I think he said it was a 1946 model.

Anyone have any idea what the red and silver one is?

It's a Fairchild F-24. Built from 1932 to 1946 with either an inline Fairchild Ranger ( as much as 200hp ) or a Warner Scarab radial of ( as much as 165hp )
...the military version was the UC-61 during WWII.

Check out Wendell Hostetler's plans of it. They build into very beautiful models. ....and aerobatic too.

Ken.

Thunderbolt, you did something I havent seen done yet, you included2 fullsize along with the model shots. What makes the fullsize so effective and hard to tell from the models is that they filled the whole frame of the pic, giving it some presence. So with that, fill up the frame and position your shot so that you are ........ looking up at a larger subject. Hopefully this makes some sense.

The shot of the corsair is also full scale owned by Jim Tobul.

I think the model shots are decent. I think the forth shot (in flight)of the A-10 is the most believable.

This look familiar?

Here are the larger pics that Steve posted above. For some reason they are very small on my computer.

Yes, the corsair is also the real deal.

My lens really is my weak link. I though a $500 lens was good. But it only gets you decent shots.

Thanks for the comments.

That's pretty funny cause I thought the Corsair was the biggest fail of all those shots. Looked the most like a flying model.

Yep...it appears to be an electric by looking at the prop shaft and spinner hub....I agree with you. Needs a wire from the antenna post to the vertical stabilizer too. I think our leg is being pulled.
