Best scale photo!
This thread rules!!!!!!!!!
What awesome planes... wish I had something to add to the collection! If I'm lucky, my SBD will turn out half as nice as some of these and I'll add it to the thread. It'll be a VERY OLD thread by then though! ;-)
Keep 'em coming,
Neo

Islander on Final
Here is my Islander on final approach. I can't take credit for the picture since I didn't take it. It's hard to fly the plane and take pictures at the same time.

FW-190A8
I took some time out while building the Hawker Hurricane to build this Platt FW-190 for a fellow club member. Unfortunately, it was totaled on its second flight.

Spitfire mk. V
My first real attempt at building a detailed scale model. This Sterling Spitfire Mk. V afforded me many firsts.
The first time I ever fiberglassed a plane
The first time I ever worked with and color matched epoxy paint.
The first time I ever researched a subject and built a model to match a three view
The first time I tried my hand at making rivets
The first time I worked with retracts
The first time I tried to weather a subject
The model was finished in 1996 and was retired in 1998 to live the rest of its day's hanging from the ceiling of the Emmett House bar and grill in Waverly, OH.
