Nice try but, the tires should be a little flat on the bottom from the weight of the aircraft. It is a good picture, though! Great job.

That 109 looks fabulous. B&W fotos always seem to make those WW@ birds look more scale. I think the ground crew just over- inflated the tires! I would not have even thought about that if someone did not point it out. Great job.

The thing I cant get past in the Sopwith foto is that huge chair that pilot is sitting in. Makes him look 6 years old!

Default RE: Thanks

Here's my SE5a returning from a sortie, and MiG 15 hoping to escape a hail of lead.

Both planes are electric-powered.

The SE was built from Duncan Hutson 1/6th scale kit. Power is Maxcim Y-wind geared 3.7:1, 6s3p 6000 TP Prolite lipos, 15x8 prop. Model is 8 years old now.

The MiG 15 was scratch-built from my own plans. Schuebeler 90mm carbon fan, powered by a Plettenberg 220/30/A4S P4 brushless motor on 22 cells. 44†span, 7.5lb with Springair 602 retracts and flaps.

The Lightning is bungee launched. 27" span and 36" long. Power is Schuebeler 69mm DS30 carbon fan and Kontronik FUN480-42 on 3s 6000 lipos. Model weighs 45oz and goes like stink Scratch-built from my own plans.

Cheers

Gordon

NavyT28 from Germany... Amazing, truely amazing.
The Europeans seemed to have really grasped this thread... maybe it's the F4C heritage and approach... it really works anyway.
You're able to stand back and really judge the scale model as a whole...it's entire scaleness... the craftmans completed modelling illusion so to speak, very FAI scale thought.
Fantastic airplane Franz... good luck with it.

I concur,
That trojan puts 99.9% of the submissions to shame.
Fantastic! And great scale photography too.
Hands down winner in my book.

NavyT28 Come on now, it's a full scale, right? Really, really impressive! I will be sending you my scale detailing questions when I need answers.

What's the power plant? I did not see what it is.

I also thought it was full scale. Any chance it will fly at the Top Gun competition held in America? The Top Gun competition usually occurs at the end of April in Lakeland, Florida each year.

Hey guys,
I believe that 3W of Germany will be producing a kit of this size. I am not sure if this is the one. It might be coming soon in the near future. You can bet it WONT be cheap.

Danke Mr Franz!
Your Trojan is near perfect... all it needs is some weathering.. but I love to weather. I am not for shiney Warbirds... Have you flown the Trojan yet?
I have some time in a full scale.... simply awesome.

Though my plane is no where near the scale realism as the other posters I thought alittle civilian entry might break up the warbirds alittle.

KA41,
You've obviously got the scale building part down very well. Now all you need is to work on your scale photography...as that is what this threads about. Scale photography. Make us wonder if it's a model.
Yes...yer gonna have to get down on your belly on some dirty tarmac.
Good lookin' twin Beech bro!

O.K. Paul,
I hope this comes across more scale like. Though I don't share a spot in my hangar for this one anymore I will be building another one soon.

Hello Kingair 41,

nice Beechcraft! Nice paint job, too. Very Beech! Say, is it a Twin Beech or a Baron?

Cheers, Martin

Martin,
It is a Baron 58. It has flaps, retracts with gear doors, landing lites, interior, wing tip strobes, tail nav lite, with a pair of ASP 61's. This was eye candy to everyone at the field when I brought it out. It flew like a dream. I just bought another one off of ebay and will enjoy building this one as well. Paint scheme already picked out.
