Thanks, Ken. I did make a quickie stand for the Snipe, though I'm not sure why I didn't put it under the tail skid. I must have had a reason. The second photo was my attempt to recreate the view of the specific Snipe I was modeling.

SR Batteries 1/4 scale Eindecker
Tried to go fun scale crazy on my SR Batteries 1/4 scale Eindecker this winter/spring and finally go it done:
Hand machined 6" diameter "wire" wheels...had to make a lacing fixture and took about 20 hrs each
Hand turned brass ammo sewn in brown canvas belt (made od canvas ribbon from craft store)
26 ga Aluminum Ammo Chute
Simulated Prop Hub
Detailed Williams Bros dummy radial with some engine turned bits
I went overboard after a local hobby shop said "Oh, you have an Ugly Stick" after I said I was building an Eindecker.... wanted to make sure no one ever accused me of having an Ugly Stick again, lol

Here is one taken at the field a couple years ago. I uploaded the full image, you can click on it and get to the full size file.

Wow! You both have very impressive WACO's. Anthony, Thats insignia blue? Looks black in the photo. Must look even better in person. Beautiful brother. Tmac, i really like the screws and fuel lines. I agree 100%. The WACO, to me is the most elegant looking plane of the golden era. IMO.
