RE: TF Piper Arrow almost done
Very nice lookig job.
I'm half way through the build, but haven't touched it in months.
But now I think I'm going back to the work shop.
Thank for the inspiration.

Thanks Guys, I want to use a 4-stroke in it,all my planes have them. Maybe an OS 91 or a Saito 100. The landing gear doors were a HUGE pain to do. TEAMSCALEPILOT's pictures gave me the insiration for them. It's all monokote and their paint (which never matches).
The 'curtains' are actually the upper portion (elastic area) of a colored sock I cut up.
I got the color scheme by looking through Airliners.net

Excellent! Please keep inspiring us who have one under construction. Post more pictures. I'd like to see the interior kit without the cabin on the aircraft.

Hi Scottonium, The cabin is the stock plastic one. If anybody noticed in the previous pics the cabin walls have some 'thickness' to them, it's done by adding a felt liner and some strips around the windows.

The nosegear doors are closed mechanically with the wheel going up in the well. when the wheel goes up the tire pushes a long pivoted brass tab connected to rods that pull the doors closed
When the doors are open they are held there by a separate spring so the doors will be stiff and wont flap around. Here's a pic from the inside with the cabin off.

Thanks All! I'll let you know what the weight is when the engine is in, I think I'm going to use a Saito 100 that I might buy next month. For now I'll be setting up the servos, nosegear steering, air tank and air valve.

WOW, My family owns a Piper Arrow that I fly as often a possible, and let me say that plane is beautiful. Looks just like the real one, this coming from a guy who flies one several times a month!
