I would love to go, but like OldScaleGuy it's too far for me (from Indiana too) and not at the right time of the year. Whoever goes, get lots of pictures to share!

I was impressed that you got all 4 of your .15's to run so well on all your flights. Compared to what else was up flying , yours sounded like electric motors!! Its neat to fly with people you sometimes just read about.

[img][/img]THEFT ALERT: Two contest aircraft were stolen from a vehicle at the headquarters hotel in Hemet. My Kawasaki KI 61 fuselage and my Dad's Yak 18 Fuselage were stolen from our car. We were unable to continue the contest as a result of this malicious and horrible act.
The following was lost:
Yak 18P fuselage- red with white strips and star.
Airtronics Stylus radio in an aluminum transmitter case.
Custom Woodcraft flight box with usual assortment of tools.
Custom kavan starter with machined aluminum battery mount.
Assorted hand tools, power tools, makita drill, etc.
Alpha 4 charger
Airtronics servos/pcm receiver in airplane.
Kawasaki KI 61 fuselage. Green with white strips on fuselage, b-29 kill marks on the side. Red fin and stab.
Flight box with tools, accessories, etc.
Gene Barton Fuel station (red anodized) with power master fuel jub, sonic tronic fuel pump and a hobbico power panel.
Alpha 4 charger.
Scale spinner (brown in color)
Dremel moto tool, misc. tools.
Futaba Digital/Airtronics servos and Futaba G3 14 channel reciever in the plane.
Custom kavan starter with machined aluminum mount and 12 vlt gell cell battery (Similar to unit described above)
Sweet Stick complete.
OS 46 SF two stroke engine (side mounted).
Modified aircraft with nose wheel brake, wing with fowler flaps.
Aircraft finished in yellow and black bearing a resemblance to a bumble bee. Black bands on fuselage.
Airtronics radio gear- servos and pcm receiver.
If anyone who was at the Finals in Hemet, or in the course of their contact with others in the hobby comes across these items, please contact me. The aircraft were stolen during a competition for which they were built and represent an enormous commitment of time by myself and my dad. Any information related to these items would be greatly appreciated. Please see the two items below taken at the event for reference. Please spread the word. The individuals who did this may attempt to get money out of all or part of them. Your help is needed to help bring them back and prevent this from happening to someone else.
THANK YOU!

Please let everyone know this has happened so that we can get these back to the owners. They are going to show up at some club or Ebay.

at our club meeting last night --your planes were mentioned. All members are on the look-out for these lowlifes and your planes! If they remained in the area , they will be found. Sorry for your loss and not getting to complete your flights in the competition.

RE: 2007 US SCALE MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Thanks to all for spreading the word on the loss of our models. It was a long ride home. Not many people realized that my Yak and Dennis Crooks P-38 mid-aired fridayin the first round. Just brushed wing tips really. Left a little paint on the P-38. The yak required 3 hours of repairs to the left wing and flew in the 2nd round. A flame out cut that flight short followed by another emergency landing! Not my best contest as the planes were stolen later that night. The Sig Yak is a great flying aircraft and a favorite of mine. There was also a sweet stik fitted with flaps and painted like a bumble bee with yellow and black stripes.
Jeff's excellent Tony would have placed high in the standings. I really hope it turns up. You all know how much effort goes into such a project.

Great pictures! Thanks for posting.
Man! That Twin Beach looks real! I wonder if flying through a "scale" billboard with one could be counted as a scale maneuver? It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World!

If anyone has pictures of the KI 61 Tony (green with red tail) that was listed as stolen on the first page of the thread, I'd sure appreciate it. I took photos right after static judging with the model in all of its glory and lost the camera along with my plane and flight box/equipment.
Any pictures floating around of this airplane would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff Lovitt

I have that one and a few that Bret Becker (Beckerfest) took and took the time to send to me. If there are any others out there they would be appreciated.
Thanks for watching out for the airplanes. At some point, they may turn up.
Thanks,
Jeff
