I have that Ryan, and it flies just like yours. I didn't get the kit until they were taken off the market, but I called Andersen at GP and he let me buy the parts for less than the kit cost (about 5 years ago).
I had built the Sig kit in 1970, and it didn't fly well. I love to just look at this model. I have a vintage 1985 OS .90 in mine. Had to replace some bearings, but it runs good. Hard to start inverted though...

Great looking Ryan! Can you tell me the height, width, and length of your cowling? I'm in the process of scratch building a 1937 Ryan SC-M and it used a cowling very similar to the STA. It was the prototype of the 1938 SC-W and I'm building the two side by side.
