Well got a wee surprise yesterday, I am in the process of rehashing and tidying up my garage and discovered the wing plan page for the stearman I have so I am now only trying to get a copy of the fuselage plan page. Any help getting a copy would be appreciated, if anyone is looking for the wing plane I am sure I can help in some way.
Jim.

careful of what plans you buy on ebay as those who are copying them don't know a damn thing about accuracy!
I bought a set from MR. Hobby on ebay and they are scaled down a small percentage but it is so bad that nothing lines up with my fully built plane.
try looking on rcgroups.com

my royal stagger wing will be finished soon just cut out upper wing ailerons and then realized the horizontal stab was tilted to the left a little....
just minor adjustments needed. plane weighs about 6 and a 1/2 pounds including the saito 80 engine but I haven't decided to covering in iron on film or silk and dope? paint does add a lot of weight....

you guys are going to flip! I recently bought a Royal b-17 fully built with servo's, receiver, and four new royal .25's never run! for $250 on craigslist!
was lacking mufflers and aluminum cowls, but I have a kit in the box I could borrow cowls from unless someone has a spare set. I think fiberglass specialties makes glass cowls...windows are a bit yellow and are glued on with e-poxy and glass cloth! DOH!!!
Also appears wing has had a few repairs, finish is with silk and some kind of paint, hopefully fuel proof.
#1 does anyone have a spare set of cowls
#2 how about a spare canopy set?

Neat! Does not look to bad. How much does it weigh? Lots of luck with the cowls. I got new fiberglass cowls from you know who on Ebay in 2011 before he dissapeared. It will be a rocketship with 4 .25's. Mine weighs 14.5 pounds and goes at least 75mph full power with .15's. I got mine as a basketcase too. I put retracts and split flaps on it. Glad someone else has a Royal B-17 out of the box too!!!!

That's great! There is hope for our old birds!
This is all I have, one more pic and a short video. This bird is a great partner with my Stafford B-24.
4 OZ. tanks. One for each engine for those who need to know. I keep the timer set for 9.30 min. with a long taxi out and back. That gives me about 2 min. reserve. I had to post a pic of the B-24 too! Same engines and tanks.

The bottom pic of the B-17 nose, is before the crash last year. It has a better hatch now. I almost made it openable. But, I have other projects to get to, and I have spent way to much time on that B-17. So much that now I am a little more reserved at how and when I fly it.
I can't wait to show pics of my Royal Colt jr., modified into a Tripacer. I still have two other projects to get to before that. All my other Royal kits I can only dream about for the future.

I plan to have the Colt/Tripacer finished next spring. It will have an OS .32FSR for power(remember I'm old school). I'll show the rest of my Royal projects when I get near to doing something with them.
I-fly- lets some more of your b-25! When are you going to fly it? The scariest question of all........Are you going to keep the glow engines in it?
