75? 75? do you mean 1975???? Holy cow!!! Lets see I was born in 46 and probably started putting glue on model airplane kits about 51 or 2,pffttttt never mind. Save money and take the advice of those using the drive. My 1/3 scale with Reeves drive is in the mail so to speak. we'll talk later about that. HEHE

All in all, a nice airframe capable of handling a wide range of engine sizes without any structural problems.
I have not found any negative flying characteristics.......well, maybe the ailerons are a little bit spongy, but a carbon fiber torque tube instead of the wooden dowel will take care of that problem.
I am pleased with the project as a whole and I am still working on cleaning up the plans and then having them scanned onto a disc......if it all works out ok, then I might offer the plans to the public.....keep in mind that I am not a trained draftsman, so they might not look as professional as those found in current kits on the market......but, hey, I built a plane using the information and it flys very well, not to mention scoring pretty well in the static circle, too.
Cheers,
Art

I will have them proofed soon......by that I mean a friend of mine is going build from them and report errors, misleading areas and just plain wrong stuff! We'll see how it goes.
Keep in mind that there is no building manual and the plan is intended for experienced modelers.
Later,

Engine Update !
A recap is in order.......first I used a G-62 with a 26x8 - flew too fast, but good for sport flying.......then went to a 28x 6 PK scimitar prop - flew very scale like, but was a little more than the engine wanted to swing.....then mounted a 74cc Zenoah twin with the 28x6 scimitar prop and it flew great - maybe a little fast for scale flight, but manageable.......and now a 40cc class engine - flys scale like, but just a little lacking for spirited sport flying.
All in all, a nice airframe capable of handling a wide range of engine sizes without any structural problems.
FLASH ! ENGINE UPDATE ! I have a Mick Reeves (copy) prop reduction drive and I have found a new G62 for a great price on RC Scalebuilder.
This will be my new power plant - it will be capable of swinging a scale, I say a SCALE sized prop! I figure it will be a 31.5 diameter and I will try an 8 pitch first.
Not sure when this will be installed, but before next flying season for sure.

Well, I did mount the new G-62 on the N-11.......flys fine with the 28x6 scimitar for scale flying. I am using a 24x8 for sport/dawn patrol flying.
I just didn't have room under the cowl to mount up the belt drive unit with the G-62. I will have to incorporate this combination earlier in the build to retain the scale outline. Maybe I can add this combination on the next N-11. As it stands now, I will just use the straight G-62 for power.
Until the next N-11 build starts or when Rhonda's build continues.........this is R/C Art signing off!

Looks nice Art! Now that you've got a great looking windscreen, wouldn't some nice instrument dials on the front panel inside the cockpit go great with it??

What's Rhonda's take on this issue?

It would be interesting to gauge her reaction if he did you know.

I've got a long involved story consisting of a series of decisions, all compounding the one before it and all bad choices - its a long story which boils down to the fact that I dumb thumbed it.........then I got lucky and didn't roll it up into a little ball or cartwheel it down the runway.
It can be repaired ...........

It appears to be a clean break (for easier repair), at least from the photos. Sounds like it could have been a lot worse, but glad it wasn't.

It wasn't supposed to get that far........I was using the grass runway (very limited at the Nats) I positioned the plane for take off too close to the intersecting ashpalt runway and the engine didn't develope full power on take off and I tried to horse it up before I got over the asphalt.......and welll, then it got really ugly! I did one of those chicken dance kind of things, nose high and tail a'draggin - first on the right wing tip, grinding it down......then hard over to the left wing tip which I not only ground down, but broke off. I can make a string of intellectual reasons for each wrong decision and each bad choice that I made, but it is easier and quicker to say that I dumb thumbed it! .....becasue that is exactly what I did! A very humbling experience.
Its fixed now - now to get the engine running better.

Art, its never any good to go to the "woulda, shoulda, coulda scenario, what is was, fix it and try to apply the lessons learned. Motor's not good? Cut power and try later. I've been there, done that, we all have. Thank goodness it was no worse than it was.
