My LS (finally) in th' bones.
I've finally gotten my Liberty Sport to what I'm callin' th' 75% mark. 'Been a long haul, an' I won't go into th' hassles I had workin' one handed, but if I can get th' images t' up-load, Here she is! This is th' bird I had such a hassle findin' Plansheet 2 for. Now if anyone needs a planset, I can provide.

RE: My LS (finally) in th' bones.
I started this back in Jan. or Feb. It was given to me by my neighbor across th' street. His son (lost in a traffic accident to a drunk driver) had th' fuse framed up an' that was it. It's a SIG kit, now out of production, which caused a few problems gettin' plansheet 2, but w/some help from Warbird51 and Don Sage an' one or 2 others here I got the plans an' here she is.
She's kinda like a banana, a few rotten spots, due to havin' t' build 'er one-handed. 'Got a LOT o' help and encouragement From a buddy in Kentucky; he did the cabanes for me.
She's been very much a collaborative project w/his consultation and active help. He's a member here, but I can't remember his "handle". He's a BIG part of this A/C and one all-round fine guy.
Next step is putty an' sandin' out some o' th' rotten spots, then I'll mount th' control rods an' start the coverin'. Then I'll weigh 'er and start thinkin' 'bout pwr. systems.

Looks good, but on the picture the wings are not parallel, hope is because they are not securelly fitted on the plane, but my advice, take special care on the incidences of the wings, better if you have some instrument to do that, a friend of mine almost crash a tiger moth, that semms to be ok, but once the wheels took of the ground it start to turn severely to left side, due to bad incidences. Good luck!! Hang in there.

Th' wings don't look right 'cause the top one isn't properly mounted. It's jus' sittin' however I laid it for a pic or 6.
Chad, I'm 'fraid you're right; but I'm STILL callin' it 75%. Th' last 25% will jus' take more time than th' 1st 75! :-)

RD, you set me thinking, I came up with some things I could do one handed but build a model?
My hearty congratulations.

Clifford H!! Hey everybody, THAT's my partner from Kentucky I mentioned earlier! Ol' Cliff, my friend, this plane wouldn't BE w/o the encouragement and th' hands-on help you gave me. So here's PUBLIC Thanks and Acknowledgment for it all.
And, again, tho this might start t' sound like an academy awards speech, I couldn't've gotten it even started w/o th' help of the guys I mentioned above. Thanks again, guys.
Thank you, Ol' Git. It really ain't that hard, an' I'm 'fraid th' result will show th' shortcomings. But I am right tickled to've gotten this far.
Grant, who gave me the kit, came over last night w/a roll an' a half o' iron-on "fabric" an' a loaner iron. So as soon as I finish the putty-work (later t'day) I'll put in th' control rods an' start th' coverin'. Wheels on order fm. Twr.
She's CLOSE, guys!

You are very welcome RoadDog but now I have a bone to pick with you. How can I keep my reputation of being 'rude, crude, and socially unacceptable' with you saying things like that? Please don't let it get out.
You have done great work and your 'stick to it' attitude should be an inspiration to any who see this.

RE: My LS (finally) in th' bones.
Quickie up-date; The radio's in an' checked out an' everything's covered 'cept th' bottom wing. (One day, when you're bored, try t' cover somethin' w/one hand, your left, t' hold the material AND run the iron. We're talkin' REAL fun here, guys!) We're headin' out in a few days for a week's vacation in NH. I'll get back on 'er as soon as I can get an order t' Tower f' th' last o' th' coverin' an' some paint. Still to do: cover the bottom wing, connect all th' control rods, bust a hole (or 2) in th' fuse for a pilot, add th' headrest an' windscreens, paint it, balance it, weigh it, figure out power requirements an' order power system. This vacation is quite th' inconvenience t' my hobby efforts. :-)
Regards, all,
RD
