Cessna 170B
Although technically this could be a scratch-build I posted this picture in the scale forum cuz more people might see it. It did come from plans and parts photos from an old Sig kit from the 60's designed I think by Bill Effinger. The original had a 72 inch span, but we scaled that up to 80 inches. The builder, John Anderson, made it a 4 channel with wing servos. It weighs in at 8 pounds, is covered with Monokote and powered with a .70 4-stroker.

Sig picked up the Berkeley line and kitted some of the old designs for awhile, including the 170.
Beautiful airplane! Exceptionally nice color scheme. Must be magnificent with the 70 four stroke. Have you got a higher res version of that photo? It looks a little pixelated.

RE: Cessna 170B
I need to clarify that I do not own this model; John Anderson the builder currently does. He tipped me off to this kit being for sale at a hobby shop and I went and bargained for the copying rights for an afternoon. I copy-machine copied the plans and as many parts as possible and at the same time blew them up by about 11% to achieve the 80 inch wingspan. After thinking about it I decided I would never get to it and turned it over to my friend, John. It only took him 5 weeks from start to finish to complete it!!!! It would have taken me a year.
If anybody wants more higher resolution pictures I can email them if you PM me with your address. I just have a dial-up internet connection with an accelerator that drops the resolution and RCU anyway limits me here. I can more easily turn off the accelerator in an e-mail. But, I really only have a couple of more shots of it.
I really wished some company would kit a 170B!!! I'Kon Norwest's version just didn't seem to look right to me.
Thought some of you might enjoy it as much as we have!!!!! Can't wait to see it fly.
