Glen,

I can't answer your question on the compatability of the Poly-Tone paint and Solar-Tex. I have not used either. The Poly Tone on the full size was put on over the bare fabric (Dacon?) as a system. Poly Tone is a vinyl product. See the Poly Fiber site http://www.polyfiber.com/ and it may be able to answer your questions or you can send them a question. It also has links to where you can buy it, there are 4 or 5 places in CA.

John, thanks for your reply and I look forward to your CD's. I did do some checking and the paint will work. I have bought in qt size the paint needed to mix the correct colors and will mix them myself and probably will have the paint color matched at home depot so I can use latex. I have been looking at the material you have sent me and Im looking forwward to starting my build. I have decided to use litho instead of the ABS plastic cowl and I will probably use the litho on the bottom of the fuse and sides as well just like the real one did . Im going to try to match the fuse as much as possbile and your photos have been essential and an excellent reference material for me.

First flights complete on the DH-4! This is one of the most gentle flying large models I have ever owned.

Wonderful video John, the overall look of the model has got really well the atmosphere of the real one, congratulations. I guess the BUSA kit reproduces the US DH4 military version, what modifications have you done to reproduce the M2 version?

Regards
Miguel

I moved the "drivers seat" to the rear, adjusted the contour of the rear deck and covered over the front cockpit.

Then painted and added graphics and VOILA! I had a DH-4M2!
