if you go towww.ecasinc.com you should be able to find a scaled drawing there or look it up on www.faa.gov under the AC 43.13-1B the Hardware chapter.

I looked at those earlier today from your thread. They're "modern" compared with what I saw at the Air and Space Museum, but the eyes and other hardware I'm working on use the same basic profiles. The ones I saw were longer and thinner.

Ahh OK there are many different sizes and shapes of turnbuckles for antique and modern airplanes. Fokker used short ones in the fuselage bracing and the jenny uses long thin ones. google Fokker Team Schondorff and check out the photos there or www.aeroforum.org under the FTS projects page. there are many photos there.

As an inspiration for your very nice build of the Fokker Dr.1 I am posting some videos from Sweden where Mikael Carlsson has built and flown a LeRhone powerd Fokker Dr.1 replica. There are several videos available on YouTube.
First flight

Air to air

Aerobatics

In the workshop a Fokker D.VII replica is nearing completion. This aircraft will be powered by a original Mercedes D.IIIa engine.

Albeit off-topic, here is om rather nice 85 bhp Piper L-4 Cub flying by Mikael:

The lack of response to this thread amazes me,
No one has any questions about anything in here?

I think we are mostly content to watch; or at least I am. I've been following this pretty closely. It seems like you guys know what you are doing.

It is overwhelming , What you are doing...
I have built multiple DR1's, (rc) and I have a pup I am mostly looking at this year..but I look at this full scale stuff and I have a hard time believing its real !
I just look at the hours of detail and craftsmanship...so cool to see it shaping up so fast...It makes me feel like a slacker ! ha ha

BTW, I don't know about others but often I can't get the thumbnail images to open...or it takes a VERY long time. I have this problem both in Japan and in the US on broadband networks (both wireless and ethernet). No doubt that's because you are loading full-size images. I always resize my uploaded photos to around 1000 pixels in width.

Abu,
Thanks for the tip
I'll try that. Ihave been uploading full size photos so the detail would be available if you need it.
For the rest of you guys, I'll keep up with the uploads for the good of the gang here and because it's fun to do,If you have questions don't hesitate to ask.
Have a great day!

Actually I do have a question that always comes to mind..how hard is it to weld up those fuselages? Does it go quick and easy for a good welder? What percentage of welders are even able to safely build an airframe that way? I can weld some, but I can't guess how difficult the welding is?

Welding up the 4130 is not toobad at all with some experience. Paul welded up the Triplane fuselage and empennagein a week.
Ihad to brush up a bit myself for the Pup butonce you're back in practice it is a strong quick way to build an airplane. No Idid not weldup the entire structure, just the new stuff we addedwhich was quite a bit.
As long as you get good penetration and even welds then you should be OK.

Can do,
we bought a spinning for the rounded section, then had a skirt welded to the spinning. after that it was cut, rivet bead and rivet some more! LOL
If you look at the wall in one of the photos there is a Spinning on the back wall for the Sopwith as well
