I was looking to get $400.00 for the B-24 kit. Shipping would be extra.

As noted in a post above, my friend Carl would love to hear from you on the B-24 kit. He has no problem with your terms. But he has no email. If you could call him at the number below he'd love to get together with you. Dick

For those who have followed this thread and especially those who offered to help in finding a kit, here is an update.
Carl received a call with an offer to sell him a kit several weeks ago. Carl bought the kit and is well on his way. He already has the wing ready to cover. The fuselage is framed up and he is installing equipment right now. There are two other club members helping to get the plane done, one doing the covering and the other will do scale detailing. The color scheme and markings are being done to represent the plane that Carl flew in, the Banana Boat. If you do a Google search, you can find a picture of Carl's plane.
Thanks to all who participated in finding another B-24 kit for Carl. I'll post a link to U-tube videos when the model flies.

RE: Jack Stafford Models
I have just acquired a Jack Stafford models B-24 Kit. It all seems to be there including full size plans, but it has no instructions. Dose anyone know if it originally came with instructions? If it did, can anyone tell me how I can get a hold or a copy?

RE: Jack Stafford Models
Just an update on Carl's B-24. When he got the kit he built it up and then sent it to another club member who covered the airframe with OD Green Monokote. He then sent it to me to do the detail and markings.
Carl's first model was finished in the kit decals, we wanted to finish this new one in the markings of Carl's FIRST B-24 ( he had several shot out from under him) ,the one he worked up with his crew in the states with and flew the first few missions in.
When I asked Carl if there were any pictures of the plane he was very adament that there not any. I asked the plane nos and he said he didn't remember. Then in desperation I asked the Bomb Group # and the Squardron # and the name of the plane. 540th BG, 720th BS, and "Banana Boat". A little time on the "net" and I came up with these.
The portrate is of Carl that he had taken in Italy .

"Banana Boat was a B-24H Block-5 built by Ford Motor Co. at the Willow Run Plant. AAF ser.# 42-7742. The plane was lost (with another crew)on Sept. 10 1944 over S.E. Industerial Vienna Austria(most of the crew jumped).
For the markings I sent Vikie at [link]http://www.getstencils.com[/link] the pics and in short order she sent me these.

Wow! thats a great result from your research! Look forward to seeing the model. I still have mine. I am working on a B-17 that is the same scale (Royal B-17). It will be done by the end of this summer. Of course every B-24 pilot knows that the 24 was better. But, the 17 got all the glory.

Yes, it seems that "Banana Boat was one of the more photographed planes of the 720th BS. The 540th BG has a real nice web site at [link]http://www.450thbg.com[/link].
A few pics of the model as it sits now, the wing is done and wating for the motors to be mounted (going electric). The fuse. is coming along slowly, had to do some mods to get things to fit (the rear turret was a pain). Hope to have it done soon.

I was afraid you were going like that. I looked on Ebay for USWing's site because he was selling the clear parts for the S. B-24. Not listed anymore. Too bad. One B-24H has to be made as a B-24D. Is OldScaleGuy watching?
