OHIO DAWN PATROL 2010
Alright boys and girls its getting that time again to; "spool up the ODP event!"
Let hear from all you Dawn Patrollers that are planing to come to ODP this year and all our return guests!
We are planning a big hog roast (Saturday evening)this year...we will feast like vikings!
Our web site will be updated very shortly, I will try and post some pics of the Dawn Patrollers at Nall this year.....we had a blast!

Hi Paul,
I'll be there with my 1/3 scale Pup & my Eindecker. I really enjoyed last year even though I only came for the final day, I got in 5 long flights & really enjoyed the field. Lots of quality giant scale WWI airplanes.... I recall last year was the first time I'd seen a 1/3 scale DH-2, hope it comes back this year too. How many 1/2 scale beasts will we see this year?
Here's a picture of my Pup taken at ODP '09 by one of my flying buddies, Mike Bealmear.
Planning to arrive Thursday evening to set up & stay through Saturday. Sent my registration in last week.

I did get your registration last week...I hope Rich brings his DH2 and his son Jack back this year... they were alot of fun!
As for the half scales....probably only a D6, maybe BILLY THOMPSON will actually show up ONE year with his big plane and we can do some formation flying ...that would be pretty cool

I'm planning on bringing a new 1/3 scale Nieuport 28 to get in on the 1/3 scale action. It's not done yet but I hope to test fly it this weekend. Also bringing a couple of 1/4 scale planes. I didn't know you had to pre-register. Is that correct?

Good looking 28! I hope your test fly goes well and we will see you and your fleet in July.....You do not have to pre-register

And maybe, just maybe - if the stars and planets align - I might have my N-ll flying.
But be fore-warned.....DO NOT HOLD YOUR BREATH waiting on this!
Looking forward to the Ohio Dawn Patrol.......it has got to be the best venue ever for a dawn patrol event.

I'll 2nd that... the flying field there is incredibly scenic; two grass runways, shade trees to sit under, & it feels like you're flying in a large valley the way the trees surround the field, however they are spaced far enough away from the flying area to not cramp anybody. Makes for some great photos!
