has anyone built this rare and cool old aircraft ?

at least there is lots of documentation,even a plan,on the Canadian variant.

There were some plans for a CL not too long ago in MA, I think. Enlarge 'em.

besides the usual ribs and formers , how many parts have to be cut ?
do you fugure ? is it going to require 300.00 worth of parts ? i would have it cut
, my opinion , i cut my own C A P dauntless , it still 10 years later is just about 80
percent done . wont cut another myself . probably go with ACTION HOBBIES

I haven't had the plans out in a while so I can't quote the parts count. For cutting, you might try Eddie Taylor, http://lazer-works.com/index.html. Send him the plans and he will quote a price. Other than bulkheads and lots of ribs, it's mostly planking and sticks.

ive worked with ED before , it was A good experience. i guess you can build the fuse with dowels
instead of sticks. the plans are quite pricey . what i'm mainley wondering is does the fuse require
a jig, or is it built in two halves ? i dont like to build the jig type.

I think framing up a fixture would be a definite requirement to keep everything square, similar to building a homebuilt tube and fabric aircraft.
