Post your SCALE planes.
NO PROFILE planes please.
NO ARF's please.
NO WARPLANES...there already is a section for that.
If possible, show a photo of the plane you are duplicating as well as your model.
If possible, tell who created the plans or kit, and who the kit cutter is that you chose (if you went that route) All size aircraft acceptable as long as they are scale.
The photos of the plane can be taken while the model is in your shop, at the field, on top of the car, in the living room, in the bath tub, the pool, or wherever you take it.

My Cessna 150. Plans by Hostetler, cut by Custom Cutters (no longer in business).
I sheeted the entire plane. Glassed with Pacer's finishing resin and 0.6 oz cloth. Primed with white auto primer. Put a thin coat of Clear Klass Kote to make a tougher surface for finishing and painted it with Sherwin Williams auto paint using a touch-up spray gun (from Home Depot) for the white over coat, and an Iwata fine spray gun for the colored portions.
The photo with the sky as a brackound is the full scale plane I attempted to replicate. The others are my model.
Oh, yes, it came out to be a whopping 38 pounds.. not the 24 advertised.
It has navigation lights, on-board batteries for ignition and double batteries for 2 receivers. Jr radio w/ds8411 servos.
Power is a Saito 300 twin.
Hasn't been flown yet. Am in the process of finishing a trailer to haul it around.

Beautiful work! I'm sure that there are a lot of private galleries but with over 200,000 members, it is difficult to sort thru them for references. If you could post the twin engine one here, you might get the adrenilin going in someone. By the way, your war birds are super!
The bearcat belongs in this thread also. It may be a warbird but it surely doesn't carry a warbird color scheme. These are the things I am looking for. Even if it is a P51 and has a civilian color scheme, it belongs here. I just am not looking for warbirds that look like warbirds.
Planes like those that participate in the Reno Air races are valid. I'm just trying to get some stuff out here for those of us who aren't really into the warbird color schemes.
Make us think, "HEY, I'd like to do something like that!"

Here's my Meyers Little Toot and a pic of Tommy Meyers with the full scale.

The full size plane was designed by George Meyers in the 1950s as a homebuilt. It never gained the popularity of the Pitts or Smith Mini-plane, mainly because the original design required the builder to construct an all metal fuselage.

Built from Mammoth Scale Plans (Bob Morse), the model is 37% scale and powered by a 3W 78 twin. The fuse is sheeted and glassed, the wings are covered with Stitts. Stitts was also used for the final finish.

A fun project that produces a nice flying bipe that's a bit different.

Here are a couple of my scratch built birds.

The orange and white one is a Transavia PL-12 Airtruk. The red and white one is a Bellanca Airbus.
The silver one is a FW-56 (Stosser ). I didn't have the exhaust manifolds on at the time of the photo. The FW-56, while TECHNICALLY a warbird, was primarily a trainer and I felt unusual enough to be included.

Here is my Bücker Jungmeister BU-133C. It is 1/3 scale and the short kit was cut by Arizona Model Aircrafters. It has a Sachs Dolmar 4.2 cuin engine with CH Electronics Syncro Spark ignition. The plane weighs 27 pounds. The plane was designed by Gary Allen. It is very aerobatic in the late 1930s style and took 1st place at the 2005 Bomber Field September flyin in the Best Civilian Pre 1941 catagory.

The full scale Jungmeister is owned and flown by John Hickman Jr of La Mesa California (first photo). It was Swiss built in 1940 and remained with the Swiss Airforce until the early 1970s.

Ron, I hope that this plane does not violate the rules for this thread. If it does then I'll gladly remove it.

Here is my De Havilland DH85 Leopard Moth, quarter scale, 103" span, about 14lb, so as you can imagine it is a real floater. Laser 150 powered. Wings fold to fit in the car. Originally scratch built by a well known scale builder in the UK, the very talented Mike Trew. It is now about 10 years old, and has undergone a repaint and refurb in this time.

Well let hope this is a more friendlier thread than the last one I posted and deleted my pics from.

Here is a few pics of my Martin Mars waterbomber. Plan designed by Ivan Pettigrew, there are only two of these fabulous examples flying today. In fact, there are as many scale examples as there are RC examples. The white tail version is the Philippine Mars, and the red tail, Hawaii Mars. Ivan owns the Hawaii Mars and I own the Philippine Mars (models). ;) Can you tell which are the scale and which are the models?

Enclosed are mixed pics of both the scale and rc versions.

Rudderman, those are some nice planes. I have liked those since I was a kid and read about them in air and space, back when there were 4 Mars in the fleet.
Since planes of all sizes are invited, I have a few from the smaller end of the scale.
The V35 is a House of Balsa kit with a Norvel .074. Even with its small size the illusion of scale is there. The other plane is a modified Sig 1/6 scale cub. It is now a super cub and is powered by a Saito 40a.

Another smaller scale model, an Adrian Page Gee Bee R2. Power is an older OS .91fs it flies a lot easier than its looks would indicate.

My first attempt at scale. I saw the original in a magazine (see below) and just had to build it.
Ryan PT 20, 72" span powered by a Webra Speed 61. Designed from a 3-view and scratch built.
