Bill, that's a great shot of the P-47. You should try model aircraft photography again.

Excellent Jug shot Bill. [sm=thumbup.gif] Keep on shootin!

Stevo... OUTSTANDING photography. Man I wish I had you here with your camera. Hard to fly a plane and photograph it all by yourself... just not any decent photo bugs around here (at least not for "in-flight" shots... those are the hard ones!)

Can you guess which one is the real one?
Well Stevo, I had to really look a while, but I'd have to say neither is real. If I had to pick ONE though... I'd say the one on the left is the real one (still suspicious)... but the one on the right is definitely a model. Right? Good test... tough to call. [8D]

Keep up the good work guys :D

Tom

RE: Best scale photo!

Ding, ding... you are correct Tom. It is a Spanish built HA-1112, a version of the famous Messerschmitt Bf109G fighter. Had I know it was taking off (or even at the airport) I would have been a little more prepared for it, as it was I was even lucky to get off the 3 or so shot's that I did. I've tried searching but haven't found anything definitive on it, the best I could guess is that it either belongs to the CAF or the Planes of Fame museum.

Thought so. Still, very nice photo. I don't remember seeing it at the Planes of Fame last time I was there. I'd love to see that one up close ;)

RE: Best scale photo!

Hi Paul, thanks for the message. Yep, still lurkin around... just been real busy. Put together a couple big 3D birds (Chip Hyde Vision and Extreme Flight Yak) this year, but nothing scale. Just need to fly and get some other things done. Got a Jack Devine FW190 coming, so that will be my next scale project later this year.

In-laws are doing OK... no change. My wife still has to take care of them every day, so it's still quite taxing on us. I'm building a new shop this year, so I should be all set by this Fall to kick it into high gear again. ;)

I still love cruising this thread though, it keeps me motivated. :D There are some really talented guys out there... both in building and in photography. Hope all is well with you and that your birds are flying safe patrols. [8D]

Regards,

Tom
