Sterling Chris Craft 42'Corvette
Well it's been while but I am almost finished building my CC Corvette. I just have to add small details and give her a name and bring her out to the pond this spring for initial testing. I have started the motor bench run and there were no issues with engine or drive train. The running hardware came from MACK Products. While building it I did re-laminate the exterior of the cabin with Mahogany sheeting to give it a more uniform look. The wood that came with the kit was no good for staining and finishing. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Topgun61,
That is the most beautiful Corvette I've seen on either this forum or RCGroups, really spectacular! I'm more of an electric person myself by I'd really like to see video of your boat running on the water.
The mahogany is . . . beautiful. I really like the foredeck with the lighter joint treatment but not white, it really sets it off. And the aft railing with the ivory(?) [or is it white, I'm shade blind] stripe adds class. I note the working doors and hatches also. You'd probably be upset if I didn't say something about the mirror finish on the cabin top, deep enough you could shave in it.
Great work; top notch modeling. Something to strive for.

Oops, you are on RCGroups! More pictures here and the craftsmanship can't be beat either place.

What a nicely built Corvette! I have this kit from the mid 90's still 40% complete. I got out of boats when I went back to airplanes.
Now I have a hankerin to resume MY build!
I never thought of 4-stroke power. My Corvette is set up for twin electric motors.
Very well done!!!!
