Italeri 1/35 S100 Schellboote
Ok I am about to dive into this kit soon, I wanted to ask has anybody on here built one and if so what hardware did you use?
I am looking at 400 speed motors from Radio Shack that are 18k w/load and 24k wo/load..
Also 3 motors but how many ESC did you use?
questions that I need answers for.. please
Mark

Mark, you'll find a number of builds over at RCG, MBM, Scaleboats.uk or the Dutch modeling forum where some of the best examples can be found.

I have built her up now- damn fine boat - I am using 1 speed controller with no problem and I am running 380 motors..
I used Pro prop PT109 3 blade props and from the early test this boat does well.
Now to get a better radio for it. spread spectrum 2.4Ghz here I come.

Very nice. And thank you.

The funny part was the comparison I did with the Lindbergh PT109 1/32 and the Italieri 1/35 scale Schnellboot look at the size differences!!! LoL!
When I get the new radio in and start testing him, then I will start kicking out some videos to be proud of... :-)

First part of the video - new radio
then you see how far I came with the boat in the past two weeks.

No, I'm still slowly designing a Tugboat. That's what is going to get all my attention. Unfortunately we are right in the middle of a big renovation and repair of our house. Need to finish that so I can have a big enough work room. Have to finish sanding the walls, sand the floor, refinish the floor, and so on.

Here are a picture or two of my S100 that is 25-30 years old and has been rebuilt 3 times. This is the middle of the last rebuild installing the working torpedoe tubes. The torpedoes are electrically powered and launched with air pressure.

Yes, but no warheads are involved. I have a you tube video of the launching of them too. Here is a link to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfxEKjdMOds

Wow,
I see some of the same names from the RCU tank forume. Turbocat. I have both the Linberg 109 and the Italeri S boat waiting to be built. My main concern is what parts of the deck to glue to the hull and what parts are to be made removable. I would also like to know how you secure the removable parts to access the RC stuff. Do you have any pics of the insides? Great looking MTB's.

Back in early Sept- my PT-109 was destroyed by a 60mph speedboat..
the deck was glued down but the top of the battery house was not...easy to get to.
The S-100 is actually screwed down so it's easy to remove the desk with no problems.

Mark,
Thanks, Sorry to hear about the PT 109. I guess the speed boat thought he was a Japanese Destroyer. Do you have any pics of the interior? I would like to see your RC equipment layout. What do you reccommend I start first? I am adept with plastic kits so the complexity of the S boat doesn't scare me, Just the RC part LOL.

Propellers?
Hi, Can Anyone help Me get the correct Propellers for the Italeri 1/35 S-100 ? I'll be using three Dumas #2005 Motor's and 1/8 inch drive shafts. I get a lot of My items from Tower Hobbies. Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tim.
