Best motor/esc combo for my application
What would be the best motor/esc combo for a 66" fiberglass lobster boat? Doesnt need to go fast, but a nice cruising speed would be nice.

That's a big boat! Details on the prop size, drive type (direct or geared) will come into play when picking your motor and ESC. Is this a boat you've built already or are you still in the planning stages?

Hi,
You would probably be better served with a geared motor. You can toy with gear ratios for your particular application to find the best combination. A direct drive will most likely not be the most efficient motor for that boat.
Hope that helps.
