Hi All,
Thanks for all the info on motors. I probably will be selling this when I'm finished. If you are interested email or PM me and we can discuss price. I will also install your motor. These frame works are used to form the bend in the hatch tops. I made the bends by wetting the hatch tops and using an old steam iron to heat and bend the hatches. Works great and you can make the bends in 5 mins. instead of waiting overnight to conform to the forming frames. Hatches are rough fitted.

Fred,
The hatch looks great after you evened it out. Question; what did you do? I compared the before and after photos side by side and other than reshaping the left side to match the right side I didn't see any other planks replaced. I know I usually start in the center and it works out right (pic. Dumas 36" C-C Commander). I'd like to know what to do when it doesn't come out right.
Also, is that .020 thick ABS?
Thanks,
Bob

Hi Bob,
I trimmed the left plank to match the right one. Had to cut the hatch to match the trimmed plank. I then filled in the space in the hatch area so everything would match. Worked great. Starting the rear hatch, done the same way. Glue in the center piece centered on the hatch, then alternate the planks going out to the edge. I'm using the plastic that was in the kit. Don't know the thickness.
Back hatch is now complete. Will start the planking on the hull next.
Thanks,
Fred

Got the hull planked with 1/2 in. mahogany strips. Start at the keel bottom and work your way out. When finished start at the chine rail and work up to the top of the deck. Goes pretty quickly with CA and accelarator. When finished needs a good sanding.
