    twin motor advice please

Could someone please advise me if useing two hpi saturn 20 t brushed motors would be a good choice to replace 2 mfa 540 motors on my mtb that's about 3ft long.its currently running 2 mfa 540 motors each supplied by a 30 amp esc with a 20 amp fused link using 7.4v lipo .both props are 38mm 2 bladed .if my research is correct each saturn motor pulls 19 amp at 7.4v at max efficiency, am I correct in assuming that my turnigy 30 amp esc should handle these motors and give my mtb that needed extra boost to plane on the water at full throttle ? Many thanks in advance for your info .

Ask you question in the "Speed Electric" forum and you probably get a lot more, and better answers there.

Do your self a favor, I find manufacturers specs are seldom accurate, get a watt meter, then you will know what your dealing with. It is a good investment this is a typical meter:: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._Analyzer.html

To answer your question; I doubt the 30 amp ESC you have is good enough.

I would look into a 540(36mm)sized brushless motor with 1300kv to 1500kv. I'm not sure on the amperage, Depends on what your battery setup is. I'm not an expert, but nobody else is much help.

Even better than a watt meter is an amp clamp. When properly used, they will tell you what your motor is drawing though, unless you're holding the boat still, htey can be hard to use
