Default Flags

After a long and frustrating search for flags for my steam launches I was sat with my head in my hands. My daughter asked what the problem was and I said that I needed a large flag which would move realistically. “I can do that “she said. This is the result in silk.

That's fantastic! I don't think I've ever seen this issue addressed as most model boat flags share the same heavy fabric as the flag on the 1/1 vessel and are very stiff as a result. I would have issue with the slight transparency of the silk but the ink added makes them only translucent--real flags are like that.

How were these made?

Would love to see some wind tests and also how they scale at half the size demonstrated.

My daughter made them in her spare time at university(currently doing a course in textile and surface design).
