I´ve just seen, that someone use three engines for this model. It must very impressive. But at the first moment I was thinking about only one engine I didn´t build some boat more than ten years. So this plastic kit with two engine was the easiest way to some other RC boat.

Just a little trivia for you. PT 308 was a Higgins made boat and not an Elco like your model. Whether the exhaust, rudder and prop configuration are the same or not, I don't know

Prekin,
Now you have done it. I liked your build so much, I went out and bought an Italeri PT Boat too. Believe it or not, the best price I found was in my local hobby shop. I looked on line and the best I could do was $130.00. Went to my hobby shop, and they had one for $125.00, and no shipping. I'll really be watching your posts now as I collect things for the build.

I hope you share your Elco conversion with us.

I highly suspected this, since I could not see the rest of the boat--but as far as I could tell the 'business end' is very similar for each type. In fact a Higgins boat is much welcome in this instance because it's always Elco, Elco, Elco, Elco this, Elco that. We need some diversity...in boats. Good call Mr. Junkie.

After some weeks I´m back with my Elco. Finally I pasted the rib with engines. I had to drill some holes for wires. Other step is horn between the rudder and servo.
