Default Vintage wooden toy boat, what is it?

can anyone tell me what this battery powered toy boat is? Manufacturer age ect.

That looks, to me anyway, like something some one made on their own. My thinking is that it's shaped block construction rather than something that can be quickly mass produced. Also, if it was commercially made, it probably would have been painted rather than cleared with varnish or epoxy

The boat had a semi transparent wine color finish when i got it as a kid. Thought it needed a refinish. (Mistake)Sort of thought the one piece simplified top was a thing that would be done to ease building. Engine cover (hatch) had nicely made wooden vents in the style of an old shepherd runabout or similar if you know them. Thanks for your reply .

It would appear that this boat is an ito miss nipon, japanese 1950 something comercially produced product. Mystery solved.
