Default "FIELD EXPRESS" kit building thread

Hello every body,
I'm building an oceanic oil field supplier "FIELD EXPRESS",somebody also builing this kit hope I post my building thread.But english is not my mother language,so please excuse when I make mistake some words.Of course please give more advise and help about my building.

"FIELD EXPRESS" is belongs to a holland company serve in north sea.
This is my 2nd field express ,I build for my Italian friend.

FRP hull

This is new version hull moulded Rubbing strakes,


but I work with old version have to glue wood strips myself .

Drill hole for bow thruster


Drill anchor hole


Bow Rubbing strakes made by wood strip


superstructure made by laser cut white abs sheet,assembly by glue,but carefully work with clear sheet for windows.

I use 2 540 motors with gear box ,water cool sysytem.


kort nozzle made by white metal and props made by brass.


I paint a black but it's a mistake,you ought to use light grey for grounding


idler wheel room made by abs sheet where must water tight beacuse rear wave.


after paint bottom,shipboard use bright red.

fore bulwark is cut abs sheet,but inside tendon use brass PE.

hull painting finished,really beautiful!


I must use PE(a4 size) to make detail fitting.


PE for a winch base

idler wheel lathe by al.

windows lintel use brass PE.

I must say I would use brass thread rather than kit supplied PE for railing,but I have to give up brass thread when I met acclivitous railing.

wing bridge and funnel tube.

laser-cut ABS for bulwark,glue to deck,I fit shorter about 2MM。


BIg winch.



steel rod in top of rear wall.

I'm still waitting for some parts so I have time to build my HMS YORK destroyer.I fit tail part made by ABS,but need some putty.
