Does anyone have experience building this model? It is a Model Slipway kit. Any info on the quality of the Model Slipway kits will be appreciated.

Marjin,
I have never built this particular ship but I can tell you from experience that Model Slipways kits are some of the best kits around. The ones that I have built have all been top-notch. I do have a picture of the Yorkshireman in my gallery if you care to look. They are good looking representations of the actual ship they are patterned after and sail very well. In short, you can't go wrong!

SubSinker,
What a great gallery! The "Yorkie" looks like it is a real ship, ready to go to work. Thanks for the input, I think I'll get the Gry and give it a go as opposed to the other options I was considering, Tito Neri or Mr. Darby.

Marjin I have built a couple of the model slipway kits and they all had warped hulls and not so good castings, the last one a 4 hatch coaster was the worst. they are not the worst kits but far from the best. If you are experianced go ahead and try one if not try robbe or graupner kits.

Vett,
Thanks for the input, I'll give it some consideration before deciding on a particular model. Your photos are super, I especially like the Calypso. My fleet is still, in the process of being built, no pics yet. Thanks again for the reply
