Default Paint used for painting hull & deck

what primer and finish paint should be used for boats with plastic hulls. I am looking for info on brand & type.

Depends on what's handy. 'Krylon' "Fusion" spray paint is very good for plastics. 'Testor's brush on enamel in the itty-bitty bottles works, and so does the 'kids' enamel paint that Walmart used to carry (they quit, very dumb but typical WalMart). Almost anything will work if it's plastic compatible. Pay attention to the instructions on the can/bottle and get lots of sandpaper.

PS - Never hurts to 'dab'/spray a little on the scrap as a test! Don't forget the sandpaper.

I second the recommendation for Krylon "Fusion" on plastics and ABS.
