Great ideas on the bow details fellas.

I went to start my truck this morning and quickly realized the AC had quit. We're right in the middle of a 100+ degree heatwave, so you guys can probably guess what I'll be working on tonight instead of the boat [&o].
UGG..About a year or so ago my wife had to work in Dallas so I went down there to check it out. . Every day was over 100 degrees and it was brutal. I feel for you for having to deal with that heat. The AC is a must over there.

Makes you wonder how we ever got along without AC?

DS,

Looks good to me BUT "wheres the chocks"?  Go back to page 95 to get some inspiration fromRich and if you want 'scale'  also check out the picture on page 19 of the bowlip of the "original" Dauntless.

Hi Deepsky,
If you go back to page 8 about the 12th post down, you will see how I treated the raised bow and the chocks. I hope this helps.

In this shot you can see the profile of the bow lip on the real Dauntless and the one I added to mine long after it was built.

If you are running the boat on 7.2V's then yes it would work. If the boat will be running on 12V then you have to first look up the specs of the ESC to see if it will support it.

Made more accute throttles, was going to paint the knobs. Pulled out my box of Testors model paints and most of them have dried up [:@].

Other than that I think this piece is finally done.... for now.

Send a message to the seller OR find out the make & model & look it up online.

Great work Dauntlessfan!! A little bit of enamel thinner will bring the paint back to life. To get the accurate color of the purple throttles try mixing a drop of flat red & some black together. play with the combo & the color color will appear.

Bill,

Youur son took some nice pictures.  I like your lobster traps too.  What did you use to make them?

Thanks Bob. The traps are made from what is called hardware cloth (they're actually wire) from Home Cheapo. I made a paper template and cut wire for each as one piece. Then it was just a matter of folding to the shape and painting.

Hi captains,

Last night I did another very late night working on the radar mast...she is coming along as planned. Tomorrow is my son's christening so it will slow things up a bit but then I will resume as planned. The mast structure is built and I need to continueon. The mast foundation/intake is a little bigger than planned but now that I see how it looks in place I am going to sketch on it with a sharp pencil and lower it as needed.

More to come.

Rich

I have not worked on my boat for some time now, for my attention has been turned to my two boats in my yard.
Will take pictures today and post them on my site today. I had both rebuilt, top to bottom, and have not yet got them into water yet.
My Grandsons has been with my sister in-law, for my daughter just cannot get into the groove of cleaning her house. So, until my Grandsons,
Gabriel 3, and Stepfonte 7.5 months returns home, my projects can collect dust. Sorry, I have no one to be able to talk to, for most of my family is pasted on.

Hi Butch good to see you around again.

Wow Rich, great progress on that radar mast!

My radar just got attacked by my 15-month-old little boy so I need to glue it all back together... DOH!
