Default R/C ESC manufacturer in Canada help???

Sometime back SOMEONE posted SOMETHING about some small ESCs that had a built in auxillary switch on them. They had a part number something like SC-1 HV. They were made by a company in Canada. I've searched the forums frontwards backwards sidewards and up and downwards. I can't find the thread anymore these seem like the perfect thing to put in my Dickie Tug conversion. Does anyone remember or is the original poster around? It was a thread talking about overheating Proboat ESC and slow speed control.

The boards here have a weird way of sometimes showing the last poster, but not
showing the last post. Almost as if there was an approval period for post. But only once in a while. I noticed this in the combat forums. A thread would list a new post by someone, but not show the post.

Very strange.[&:]

I don't think I know of too many ESC rated for only 3 amps. Maybe a 3 amp BEC(the auxillary switch), but most ESC are rated quite a bit higher for motors.

It's not $44 but it is an SC-1 by JR

The Pro Boat is $39.99, but a lot of us have been having issues with them.

Odd things like the ESC running dry, but cutting out within seconds of hitting the water.
It has been attributed to improper programming, but no verification yet.
That conversation is still on the front page of General discussions

Also mentioned in the Combat Forum
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4284966/tm.htm

Mtroniks makes as variety of different ESC, the Mtroniks Viper Marine15 is fairly economical.
I have been running an Sonik ECO-20, and it has been flawless so far.

Anything helpful yet?[&:]

Umi, it could be because the poster is on Moderated Status and their posting won't be seen until it is approved by a Mod if it is OK to let go. Otherwise lately this site has been doing some weird things the past week as the Admin has been working on the system.
BTW, nobody in this thread is on MS.
