Thanks for the info guys! I'll keep that tidbit for future refrence. I called MCD yesterday and ordered their Minicon Max ESC. He said I should have by Tue., next week. http://www.modelcontrol.com/maxminicon.htm I've been "browsing" around and came across this boat at Harbor Models. http://www.harbormodels.com/Harborma...upner/gr13.htm Might make a good project for me with all my "spare time"! HA! Whatchya think? Brian

LOL's. Guess that answers that question, don't it now? Maybe in a few months. My new Gas Rigger will be done at the paint shop soon. I have to put it together back and dial it in. I also have a Quickdraw Stryker I took apart last year,(to paint) I need to finish up. It's been hanging on the wall in pieces all year now. Need to get closure on these two boats first. Along with the Cruiser! Brian

Don't look like much in that box fer $350.00![X(]

There is more than the first posted pictures show. But yeah, it's a lot of money for CNC'd plastic and wood:

Looks like you gotta be part "arteest" with all that vacume formed stuff too. You can either make it look like the real thing, or it can look terrible. I'd bet alot of builders make their own deck parts, huh? About the price now. As far as I'm concerned, thats the price we pay to be in this hobby. It ain't for kids. Kids can't afford it! LOL Brian

Hey Brian, I figure that with a little paint and glue, we can have us a nice looking version like some other fellers have made!

I see you've done your homework there Kmot! MAN! Thats one nice lookin boat! But like I said, I've got the 3 lil projects to finish up first. Does anyone make a BIGGER cabin cruiser kit? Something about 50" in length, with a plank on hull? Not a Dauntless. Just curious yano. Brian

I don't know of any current kits, myself. There was a 48" all wood version of a Chris Craft, made by Sterling Models. You can find them on ebay from time to time. Be prepared to spend lots of money on an old kit though. [X(]

I believe there are lots of kits of interesting boats that we never see here in the states. Stuff that is sold in Europe. Which has just rung a bell in my dusty old memory banks. I might have a link somewhere. I'll be back.............

Found it! A 46" long cabin cruiser/sport fisher. The Fairey Huntsman:

You are one rescorcefull dude! The Huntsman! HA! I wonder what the time difference between MST, and England is? This would be something I'd want to call the about. I don't like the idea of putting a slimey nitro engine in it tho.[:'(] I'm sure electric motors have advanced far enough by now to find a comprable substitute, with long run times, and speed. Thanks Kmot! Brian

I wonder if my free Cingular long distance covers international calls? LOL[sm=72_72.gif]

Brian,
They get up about 7 hours earlier than you do (if I remember correctly). So an early breakfast MST is sort of a late lunch GMT...

Don't worry about electric power! There are more electric motors today big enough for this boat than you can shake a stick at!!

Thanks Doc, I'll try an email first. Then I could try em by phone, after I get up in the morning. (3:30am [X(]) Kmot, I figured the power is out there. Looks like I'm going to get a good education in electric motors, huh? Thanks guys, Brian
