Default Graupner 600 14.4V nominal voltage motor

I am looking for an alternitive to the Graupner 700 12v nominal (voltage motor) to turn a 1-3/4" 3 blade Dumas prop with 2" pitch. this set up works well with 2 in my Trojan, about 12-15mph with 9 cells, motors only slightly warm. Only problem is the 5mm shaft on the 700s, I drilled the Dumas 3/16th couplings out but they are not perfectly round,
Questian ? How much tourqe does the Graupner 14.4v (nominal voltage) motor have (this motor has a 1/8" shaft) will it turn the Dumas 1-3/4" 3 blade, 2" pitch prop. Thanks, Randy.

Hey you can get drive couplings to fit the metric motor shaft and couple to the standard shaft . Check harbormodels.com they have some universal drives that will work .

If you have any tool supply shops in your area purchase a 5mm reamer.
Setup the coupling on the drill press and run the reamer in on low speed.

I had purchased a 9" lathe to do small machining.
If you do not want to go either route you could look to see if there are any machine shops that would do it for you.

Hope this helps,

Dino

Randy

Try here excellent service, and cheaper than getting a different motor.

All good information, thanks every one, for now I will try to find a reamer to use on a lathe.
