Look around man, if you want a nice size rtr tug, may is suggest the Aquacraft Atlantic Harbor Tug Boat? It's a great deal for it's size, I have it's "cousin"
the bristol bay, and let me tell you that bugger can pull!

Dave,
Are you looking for a riverboat type barge like this?
I think a company called Krik,
(K-Rick, German company?) used to make a kit.
Pretty easy to scratch build one...

RE: Were to get a barge tug boat
Hi,
Harbor models used to sell kits or semi kits of different river towboats & barges. I don't know if he still sells them or not but it would be worth a shot. He sold a kit called the Choctaw, which was of a Mississippi River towboat. http://www.harbormodels.com/

There's always Dumas' [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/product_guide/boatprofile.cfm?boat_id=415]American Beauty[/link] if you can find one or for an older era, [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXPCA4&P=7]Myrtle Corry[/link] .

Yup, the Dumas American Beauty is getting harder to find, as are all of the F/G hulled boats. Dumas is switching their hulls over to PVC. I know they are dropping some of their boats but I am not sure which ones. Hopefully they will start producing the American Beauty again. Fortunatly, I do have a fiberglass hull one sitting in my workshop, partially started by someone else. Maybe someday I will get around to finishing it. Man, if I only had a dime everytime I said that...

Here's something you'll want to see from Towboat Joe. He's interested in seeing what folks would want if he made [link=http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=830942]Tow Hulls.[/link]
