LOOKS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you have any pics of the interior. I am particularly interested in the motor mounts and rudder installations. Both seem to have interferences which is one reason i shifted to my Midwest Lifeboat and Dauntless for a while.

Dang that's excellent work! And in only 11 months? Wow! I could maybe build one that fast if I were retired, single, and had a staff of talented model ship builders at my disposal .

RE: American Beauty.
Hi
I just got one of these kits from a member here. They had started and well there is a lot of construction left plus some stuff that just looking at it for the first time I can see is wrong. My question is did you take any pictures while building? If so could you post them or send them to Me. I will probably bug you a few times if you don't mind.
By the way you're boat looks great.

Hi guy's,
Thanks for your great comments much appreciated.
LClark I also had problems with the rudder setup so i cheated by not fitting them and had steering korts instead, i now that they are not correct but it works for me and the boat handles great even with the barges on. i'll post photo's in a couple of days (photo's on disc and l have lent them to a friend)
wolfmann just ask away i'll answer what i can if i haven't got a photo it can soon be taken.

One of the members in my club has an American Beauty. It's a solid and reliable boat. It appears you did an outstanding job. I especially love the "bow-on" shot. How was take photo taken? Generally, we just lay down on the shore, and drop the camera down as close as we can to the water and snap away.
I would like to devlope a system for taking on the water pictures. Does anyone have anything better? An "on the water" platform with a servo controlled shutter mechanism?

use windows movie maker to make the video then, using the "take picture" option, save the snap shot.
here are a few, some taken from land, some taken aboard a camera ship, all are "snapshots" taken from video. because you are spooling through video, rather than simply pointing a boat at something and hoping for the best
