Some of my boats
... and some others of my flotilla:
HMS Sir Lancelot, a minesweeper of the ´Round-Table-Class", a modified kit from Mountfleet models. To be honest, it was my second and my last kit, never again! It took so many modifications that I just can say: It would have been better to build it scratch.

RE: Some of my boats
... the HMS Velox was scratchbuilt, scale 1:100 . This gives her a length of 64cm, 6,5 cm breadth and 2,7cm deepgoing. The total weight, ready for action is 385 grams. So the challenge in doing that was, to make such a narrow boat scale, scratch and r/c. The hull is moulded in 0,5mm thickfibreglass, the deck and the somwhat-superstructure is out of 0,3mm Aluminium-tin. Two of the four shafts are powered, the 600mAh Nicad gives a time of about 15 minutes on the water. The performance is, if the pond is not calm, more like a cork on the water. The only access in the boat is under the funnels. So you need slim fingers and tweezers to switch on the main-control or change a chrystal...

RE: Some of my boats
The P-Boat was also of British origin, a Patrol boat of WW1 which had been developed for Anti-submarine duties. I found the fragments of the plan and added the missing parts on photographs. Unfortunately there had been just 4 frames in the plans, so it took some guesswork, to make the hull correct in its shape and appearance. Again it´s all scratchbuilt, hull moulded out of a pattern. But in that particular case it was a Goliath, compared with the Velox-job. Length is approx. 74cm, breadth 8 cm and total weight is 780 Gramms.
What attracted me at this boat was, the small silhouette, which had been meant by the construction office to look like a submarine. As the maximum speed of this boat for Anti-Sub duties just has to be a bit higher than a sub, they had been running max. 21knts.
64 had been built between 1916 and 1919, 10 of them converted on the stock to Q-boats. After the armistide they had been running in minor duties as Fishery-patrol or had been wrecked. Two of them had been sold and the last one was scrapped in 1980.

RE: Some of my boats
... now coming up with another two. It`s one of my favourite photographs. HMS Lord Nelson´and HMS Mohawk in a line.
The Nelson was scratchbuilt scale 1:100 based on plans from the UK, the Mohawk was a very much modified kit from Deans Marine, scale 1:96. I don`t want to spend too much saying about the quality of the kit...- I just have used the hull and some very minor items (Cermon over).

Astro, a carrier would be nice but unfortunately too big anyway. Just one exception... the HMS Furious from WW1. But before that I have to do some more boats which are waiting down in the workshop. And the planes need repair and refit too, to be ready for next season. And the cars scale 1:5 need some update as well.... Pheeew, so many jobs, so little time...
Hmmm, need to have three lifetimes and a wife with a 6-figure income, that would solve some problems....
