Aquacraft Bristol Bay
I'm running a nitro duece and want a good push boat in case the nitro stalls. The scale Bristol Bay looks great for the job and I'm thinking about getting one for show and work It will be an actual working boat as a pusher for our racing boats here.
So how do you scale guys like it?.. I know it's not "build scale" and RTR, but in it's own right..pretty nice machine?

RE: Aquacraft Bristol Bay
Just picked up Atlantic Tug for the same purpose. Want to have something to get my speed boats when something happens and not all situations will allow for rescue boat or tennis ball w/ line. Here's a link to what I found when it comes to giving them more power, adding wooden decks, smoke stacks etc..etc.. to making them more scale in apearance.
Here's also a pic of my cat being rescued (thanks Kaz)

RE: Aquacraft Bristol Bay
The Atlantic looks small or is that Cat pretty huge in comparison?
I have the Aquacraft nitro Miss Vegas but I think the Atlantic and BB are a little bigger than it.
I kinda like the BB even though the Tug would be better, because it would look nice on my mantel during off season

Well The Tug ought to be more than enough to tow my Miss Vegas then.
I just ordered the BB.....what the hell lol...It's quite cheaper than the tug and it has sails... Good ship to relax with at camp..no noise and such

RE: Aquacraft Bristol Bay
Yepp been reading it and he took it all apart lol. It's realistic enough for me as a fetch boat/pleasure cruiser, but I like the adding weight mod. Seems the BB is a bit light and likes to bob around, besides, it would be more solid for a pusher. I may gear it down too, but we'll see how it goes stock first.
Will be nice to float around at camp without gassing it up and getting yelled at for the noise lol

Hi
Anybody tried to mod sails of the Bristol Bay to work as sailboat sails? I'd like to do this - how you think is it make sense?
Thanks

The Bristol Bay is a great little boat. With a bit of work you can turn it into a pleasure to drive. I added another battery and a bit of lead as extra ballast, changed the cabin and the sails and then splashed on a bit of paint. When I just want to unwind I adjust the speed trim on the tx till is motors along at a nice scale speed. Turn it into the wind, go as far as I can, turn around and SAIL back
