I too have found a spot where the water is fine but the RC boaters are few. Only one and thats me. Your Tug looks great.
Is there a 1/16th scale tug that anyone makes?

Thanks for viewing my Tug, I guess we are both the Lone Boaters I live in the out side of Dayton Ohio this is a Aviation State Symbolizeing the Wright Brothers. Ony Boat club there is in Dayton they race Nitro speed boats. This is not for me I get satisfaction only on scale boating. As to 1/16 Scale I,m not certain if not found comercialy you most likelt have to scratch build your own I will keep my eye out for you.

Thanks for that. Slow and easy is the way I like to do things now, leave the speed for the kids there reflexes are better than mine. But a working TUG I could sit and watch for hours.

Thats right I can sit for hours and watch my beard grow LOLLLLLLllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Speed is not for me at 69 years OUCHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this worls is speeding any way without a speed boat. With a tug you can sit down on the easy chair kick back your feet, Drink a beer and everyone leaves you alone, with only one thing in mind enjoying your tug. Scince it is getting warm out here in Ohio land I been takeing advantage of this weather after being all bogged down in a house this winter. This last winter about drove me Bughouse. Now is the time to un wind and get that boat in the Water. Austraila is Beautifull country I would love to live there and get away from my country. The USA is not the same to Materialistic all about Money abd Scocialisym Terrible Takeing my tug out releives alot of stress that I have to put up out here I,m to old to go through that My consitution needs peace and security I wwould love to see some of your pictures of your fleet I bet you have some swell boats. I will keep my running lights on for a 1/16th scale boat for you. Again thank you for your wonderfull replies.

With ya all the way Frankiyn, only got 2 craft at the moment. Both are 1/16, that is why i would like a 1/16 tug.
My first boat is a RTR "AquaCraft" but I have changed a few things to bring it to 1/16.
My other one is a scratch built LCU based on a few different craft,(took all the bit I liked and made them on mine) It is a lot of fun, driving my RC tanks and things on and off.

Love your work XLNT

BEAUTIFULL, BEAUTIFULL. BEAUTIFULL, Your fleet looks great your Attention to detail is admiral, you do good work that must be fun to to take your LCT to the beach lower the ramp and uload your Artillery . I need to try that some time I would love to get a copy of the plans for that LCT that would definately be different I have a couple Rc Tanks around my house some where that would put them to good use. Last nite I took out my Ferris Cargo Steamer i forgot to charge the Reciever Battery It got out of range No reply to command off my Transmiter, **** How in the Hell am I going to get my ship back.I turned off my transmitter, I went home fast as I could to get my Tug, It took about 15 minutes got bach to the pond got my tug underway to retrieve my Cargo Steamer I swung around and pushed all the way to shore GEE that was fun. For now on I will charge the Reciever battery it weas a dumb thing . I like your pond no one there but you and your fleet sailboat looks swell to. Below attached is a photo of my Cargo steamer I,m glad I got her back didin,t have to worry sbout her sinking just for some one to swipe her Keep your pictures comeing i enjoy them you need anything let me know I,m glad to help

Back again. Your Steamer is wonderful, how big and heavy is it?

Sorry but there are no plans for the LCU, all I had to go by was some photos of a few craft. It is about 50" long.

I know what it feels like to loose control of your boat. It happened to me on my very first run of the landing craft.

This is how it unfolded for me.

Took the LCU down to the river for its first run.

Tried it without any tanks first just in case it didn't do what it was supposed to do, All went well

Loaded 2 RC tanks on board and set off again, but then in the middle of the river it stopped running, then the wind got stronger and it found its way to the tidal flow.

PANICE

But lucky for me the wind blew it to the edge of the river and I was able to rescue it without any damage to the Craft but a lot to my pride.

The props and rudders got jammed with weeds. Did a quick Video

Thanks again shipmate. My Ferris Cargo Steamer she is modeled in 1/8th scale 32 inch,s long weighs about 15lbs It takes a lot of weight to get her down to the water line. Once she obtaines bountcy on the water line she rides the waves and swell with ease. She is the smallest I have in the fleet But one thing for sure of all the RC forums I seen on the internet she is one of the kind. My only regret I should have done is made her a lot bigger then she is. But at the time the urge was inteminateing for me to build her right a way. Looseing controll of your boat is not a good thing like you mentioned before PANICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC I saw your River you had your LCT on Man what a wild wild river collecting all that debre from the river can cause havac on your fleet I bet the currents are great to. In Ohio there are a few rivers here as well, they are wild to with a wicked current I am afraide to set my boat in that river I may not get it back.

So fortunately we have a lot of Metro ponds out here and like I said before I am the only boater that puts a boat in the water other than a fishing pole. Today this afternoon I will take out my Douglas Greg tug and pull a Barge around the lake maybe chase some Geese thanks for your reply I enjoyed your video man that is some river you have a great country there I love to live there. I(f I had the money and about 20 years younger I would pick up everything what I would take with ,e and become a resedent there Austraila is a Beautifull country thanks Buddy for your reply you need anything let me know
